The Weekly April 20th

Please Join me in Welcoming Mrs. Dorn!
Mrs Dorn will be substituting for me in my absence.  Mrs. Dorn has MANY years of successful teaching experience as  a band director with DSUSD, and is now retired from the teaching profession.  Mrs. Dorn also serves as a Judge for many local and regional SCSBOA Festivals throughout Southern California.  We are in GREAT hands, and fortunate to have Mrs Dorn as a teacher in my absence.

Brigade Blast Reminders:
Remember - it is very important that this event is successful so that we have the resources to startup Marching Band, and fund our banquet at the end of next year.  Your participation in the following items is NEEDED to run a successful event.  Thank you for your cooperation.
1 - Lineup: Want to know when YOU will be performing?  visit www.brigadeblast.org and look at the detailed lineup at the bottom of the home screen.
2 - Student Volunteering Shifts: you can see what you signed up for, OR fill a spot by clicking here.  These MUST be filled! 
3 - Raffle Items:  We need your donations turned in by THURSDAY to the booster closet (or to Mr. F's office).  The assignments by last name are the following:
A-B  Family night
C-F Candy 
G-J Home Improvement/gardening
K-M Coffee/ tea
N-S Movie Night
T-Z BBQ/picnic
4 - Tickets: Any tickets you sign out must be sold, with the money (and small stubs turned into the booster box with an envelope.  You will be charged for unsold tickets that are not returned to us by Thursday this week.  All money should be turned in by Thursday of this week.
Questions?: The following are my student helpers, go to them with questions that you might have, they know this gig pretty well!  You can go to Mike Kalb, Jose Jimenez, Courtney Ng, and/or Jaison Miles.  They will be keepers of the volunteer list, and in charge of running student jobs during the event.  You can VIEW the job list from the student helpers listed above.
CALL TIME FOR ALL CONCERT/JAZZ GROUPS ON SATURDAY IS 8:00am


Jazz Band:
We have rehearsal Mon, Wed, Thurs, Friday each day - Full ensemble until noted otherwise.  Dorian (Vocals) you will rehearse with us Friday, and check in with Mrs. Dorn each morning for attendance.

Wind Symphony:
We will still need to rehearse after school.  Dates and times will be scheduled by Mrs. Dorn.

End of the Year Concert: THE NEW DATE CHANGE IS TUESDAY, MAY 19th (NOT MAY 21st)  Sorry for the change!

May 18th - End of the Year Concert (Concert Band & Wind Symphony)
May 19th - June 4th: Graduation rehearsals (dates TBD)
May 30th - Fullerton College Woodwind Day 
June 4th - Graduation (All Concert Bands)
