Dear Marching Band Parents:
We have put together some general information regarding the Disney and Championships Overnight Trip. We apologize for the short notice due to the hectic events schedule. A more detailed packet (with itinerary, rules, meal coverage, etc.) will be issued and covered by Mr. Fleischmann at the MANDATORY PARENT & STUDENT meeting next Wednesday November 20th. Any information that has been changed or updated will be sent in an email blast as soon as it is made available. Students - please make sure that your parents are receiving email notifications.
Friday 11/22 Hotel: The Blackhawk Brigade will be staying overnight in Tustin. They will travel there after the park closes. We have been able to secure a rate of $79 room (2 person occupancy) for parents that want to stay at the same location. Hotel's room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 6%) and California Tourism Fee (currently $0.10) in effect at time of check-out. The hotel will try to accommodate all our parents; however it will still be on a first come/first served basis. Those reservations will be billed separately under the parents name and handle their own checkout process. Pease contact Esmeralda if you would like to book a room.

Friday 11/22 California Adventure:
Parade: Parade time has been confirmed as 4:20PM. Mr. Fleischmann will provide the call sheet soon. We do expect a call time of 5:00 AM on Friday departing LQHS. Students should notify teachers to obtain any assignments/make-up work due to their absence.
Tickets: All student performers will be issued an entry ticket. We will be able to purchase additional tickets at a $78/single park discounted rate (down from $92). There is also a $ 92/park hopper discounted rate (down from $132), however, students will not be allowed to leave the California Adventure Park. In order to take advantage of this offer, the Boosters will need to submit the request and payment as a group. If you would like to purchase ticket(s), please leave the payment envelope (include your name, student name, how many and money) in the drop box by Tuesday 11/19. Our Co-Treasurer, Lori has offered to be in the band room after practice on Tuesday (8-8:30PM) to collect payments. Any requests put in the drop box after 8PM will not be accepted.This is a firm non-negotiable deadline! Checks are to be made out to LQHSBBB. At the parent meeting, we will provide a location and time to meet at the park and distribute the purchased ticket(s).
Charter Busses: Mr. Fleischmann has requested 3 charter busses for this trip. Once we receive confirmation from the District, we expect to have room for non-supervisory parents. Please contact Events Coordinator, Esmeralda Alvarez, if you are interested in riding along with the students. Parents would still be responsible for securing the hotel room, entry ticket purchases, etc.
Student Meals: As of now, students will be on their own for meals on Friday while at the park. Breakfast on Saturday morning will be provided by the hotel. The Boosters plan on providing lunch and dinner on Saturday while at Championships. The senior's will have their dinner costs covered at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Riverside. DEADLINE to get your senior dinner RSVP to Nicole Wesner is this Friday.
