Paperwork, Questions about the program or who to contact?
If you are "new" this week to the program (have not been a part of band camp), you must submit your paperwork this week for credit. Hard Copies were handed out in class, a digital copy is available in the handbook (click the link on www.blackhawkbrigade.org for "2015-2016 Handbook." As a reminder - the handbook has contacts for everyone you could possibly need to direct your questions to.
Just a reminder - we are starting to play in Periods 1 & 4 this week. You may start to keep your music and instruments in your lockers. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP BOOKS FOR OTHER CLASSES IN YOUR INSTRUMENT LOCKER. Thank you!
Concert Band This Week:
We will be working on fundamentals in the Ensemble Books, and Music Theory.
We may begin sightreading some pieces to play later.
Wind Symphony This Week:
Preparation for the 9/11 Gig - National Anthem, American Salute
Sightreading new music
Beginning Band This Week:
We will continue with basic music theory, and working on rhythm reading
We will start playing in 2 weeks! You must have your instrument by then.

All uniform orders were due last week. If you need to submit them late you can get a hard copy in the band room. Contact Denise Meyers with any questions. (again - her contact is in the handbook).

Congratulations! Our previous Panda Express Restaurant Night was very successful! Let's do it again! Our next date is Thursday, September 24th. The flyer can be downloaded here.
Wind Symphony - Chicago Meeting Tuesday @ 6:30pm in the band room
We will discuss payment schedules and begin to get the committee organized. Trip Payments are due beginning October 1st. If you are attending as an adult traveler, OR you need financial assistance - you should be at this meeting to know how you are going to get to Chicago.
